It's not complicated. Drop a bomb, kill a few people, create some unknowable number of new 'terrorists' who will hate us forever and want to kill us for perfectly understandable reasons: we killed their friends or family.
Do we have good reasons to bomb them in the first place? No. We really don't. It's all bullshit. Al Qaeda and ISIS are self-created problems that serve as excuses for the very worst of human behavior for the purpose of profit. It's unconscionable.
It's a giant con game. We need to wake the fuck up! WAR is a racket. It always has been.It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives.
General Smedley Butler, 1935 – 2 Congressional Medals of Honor
If you don’t know about Smedley Butler, please take a few minutes to learn about him. He wanted us to know the truth about war, a truth many of us still don’t understand. He would be appalled, horrified at what we’ve let the warmongers get away with.
As the above graphic says, we could defeat ISIS with an arms embargo and the only reason we don't is because that won't make a profit for the monstrous war-profiteers who have corrupted our government and our ostensibly free press with their blood money.
We're all being played for fools. The threat to us as citizens is not terrorism or terrorists, it's the war-profiteering monsters among us who manufacture terrorists and false enemies for their own nefarious purposes. If you want to be afraid of something, be afraid of the police.
Armaments manufacturers and their bought and paid for minions in our government, in concert with the entire Military Industrial Complex, manufacture terrorism so they can have targets for their fearsome weapons thus justifying their hideous and evil existence. The only reason we didn’t see a peace dividend when the Soviet Union disintegrated is because of these assholes. We will never make peace as long as they are making obscene amounts of money and as long as they own our government.
Much like Al Qaeda, the Islamic State (ISIS) is made-in-the-USA, an instrument of terror designed to divide and conquer the oil-rich Middle East and to counter Iran’s growing influence in the region.
The fact that the United States has a long and torrid history of backing terrorist groups will surprise only those who watch the news and ignore history.
The CIA first aligned itself with extremist Islam during the Cold War era. Back then, America saw the world in rather simple terms: on one side, the Soviet Union and Third World nationalism, which America regarded as a Soviet tool; on the other side, Western nations and militant political Islam, which America considered an ally in the struggle against the Soviet Union.
The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan, General William Odom recently remarked, “by any measure the U.S. has long used terrorism. In 1978-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the U.S. would be in violation.”
How the US Helped Create Al Qaeda and ISISAll of these wars are contrived by war profiteers. There is no good reason for them. None. They are not necessary nor are they justifiable. They are in fact pure evil. Please don't let them scare you into supporting these immoral abominations. Don't let people die because you're afraid.
They are driving for WWIII so they can roll in the blood money. We have to stop them.
Don't let them scare you.
If you are more terrified by terrorism than you are by the Military Industrial Complex, you are being played.
I sometimes imagine that I can hear voices from history, the voices of prisoners, victims of war, widows and orphans and they are crying 'don't let it happen again.'
They are crying from Sobibor, My Lai and Abu Ghraib, 'don't let it happen again.'
What is it to be a humanitarian in this age? What is it to be human? Who are we if we support the continued mass murder of our fellow human beings?
Let us not be afraid. Let us be loving and brave. Let us find the love, compassion and courage within ourselves to do the right thing. Killing people is not the right thing. Don’t be stampeded into supporting this horror.
Stand up to the warmongers. We can stop them if we try.
Remember, 'strong on terror' means big on war.
